Wire Payment Template Maintenance |
Using
ScotiaConnect, you can enter wire payment instructions quickly and easily
using templates. The Template Maintenance function enables you to: ·
View/modify templates that you have set up ·
Print a detail or summary report of your templates ·
Add/delete templates ·
Approve templates that have been set up with a pre-approved amount From the Payments menu, select Wire Payments, then click on Template Maintenance to access the Wire
Payment Template Maintenance page. You can
view the templates that have been set up on ScotiaConnect by pressing the Search button. To narrow the results, you can search for a
template by selecting a Template Status, entering all or part of a Template
ID or Beneficiary Name or selecting a Debit Account and clicking on the Search button. Note: A user will only be able to view templates that
have been set up to make payments from the debit accounts that they have been
given access to. By clicking on the appropriate column heading, you can
sort the list of templates by Template ID, Template Description, Beneficiary,
Debit Account, Pre-Approved Amount or Status.. |

A wire payment template will have one of the following
statuses: |
|
Entered |
The
template is to be pre-approved up to the amount specified in the Pre-Approved
Amount column, however, the template has not yet been approved. |
Approval 1 |
The
template is to be pre-approved up to the amount specified in the Pre-Approved
Amount column and has received on approval, but must be approved by at least
one additional user. |
Approval 2 |
The
template is to be pre-approved up to the amount specified in the Pre-Approved
column and has received two approvals, but must be approved by an additional
user. |
Ready |
If a
Pre-Approved Amount has been entered for the template, a status of ‘Ready’
means the template has received the required number of approvals. Any payments created with the template that
are within the specified Pre-Approved limit will not require additional approvals
before they can be sent to the Bank. Note: Payments that
exceed the pre-approved limit will require the
appropriate number of approvals before they can be sent to the Bank. If
there is not a Pre-Approved Amount entered for the template it will
automatically be in ‘Ready’ status.
Any payments that are created with the template will require the
appropriate number of approvals before they can be sent to the Bank. |
Note:
Only templates in ‘Ready’ status can be used to create payments. You can
view/print the details of an individual wire payment template by clicking the
Template ID to access the Wire Payment Template Details page. |
Printing a Detail/Summary Report of Wire
Payment Templates

You can print a detail or summary report of wire payment
templates from the Wire Payment Template Maintenance page. Templates will be printed in the order they
are displayed on the page. Sort the
data in the desired order by clicking on the appropriate column heading. Summary
Report The summary report prints two
lines for each template, including the following information: -
Template ID -
Template Description -
Beneficiary/Beneficiary Bank/Beneficiary Account -
Ordering Customer/Debit Account -
Pre-approved Amount/Currency -
Status -
Date Template Last Used To print a summary report, click on the Summary button. Detail
Report The detail report prints one
page for each template and includes all template details as entered on the
Create a Wire Payment Template page.
This report also displays a Template Activity log that records all
changes in template status. To print a detail report, click
on the Detail button. Note: If the report you have selected contains a large
amount of data and cannot immediately be displayed, you will receive a
message in the Message Centre on the ScotiaConnect home page when the report
is available. . |
