Group Information – Service Privilege Details – Inter Company Interest

 

The Group Information – Service Privilege Details – Inter Company Interest (ICI) screen enables a user to assign group access to the Inter Company Interest functions and assign accounts to the Inter Company Interest service.

 

The screen displays the following information:

·         Service Name “Inter Company Interest”

·         Group Name

·         Hours of Operation

·         Approval settings belonging to the Inter Company Interest service

·         Functions belonging to the Inter Company Interest service

·         Accounts belonging to the Inter Company Interest service

 

A business with multiple divisions can use the Inter-Company Interest report to track interest earned and interest due between their company's business units and between their company and Scotiabank.

 

Pending Services:

When you signed up for ScotiaConnect, if you selected the option called “Setting up and changing Entitlements requires approval from a different User”, ScotiaConnect will require a second approval when adding a service to a user group or adding a function to a group, If you did not choose this option only Sensitive Services will need a second approval.

 

Any services that you add to a group with a status of ‘Pending’ under the Pending Services column on the Group information screen, require approval by another authorized user.

 

Approval settings belonging to the Inter Company Interest service:

 

There are no approval settings for the ICI service.

 

Functions belonging to the Inter Company Interest service:

If a group has been granted access to a function within a service, a check mark will be displayed in the Assign column next to the function.  To assign group access to a function, click on the checkbox beside the function.

 

Remember for the super user group all functions are assigned and you cannot remove functions from the SuperUser group.

 

The following functions may be associated with this service:

To give a group approval authority to approve other users Inter Company Interest transactions, put a check next to the Approval Authority checkbox (see graphic above).

 

The following functions may be associated with the Inter-Company Interest service:

 

ICI Setup

ICI setup allows the user to set up the accounts for reporting.

ICI Reporting

ICI Reporting will allow users to view a report of inter-company interest earned between the company and the Bank, and among the company’s business units.

 

 

Accounts belonging to the Inter Company Interest service:

The accounts associated with the Inter Company Interest service are listed at the bottom of the Group Information – Service Privilege Details screen. To allow group access to an account when using the Inter Company Interest service

 

To assign an account to a service click the check box under the Assign column.

 

 

 

You can make multiple changes to each group without saving your changes. But once you are done you must save all your changes.

 

To save your changes, click on the Continue button to go back to the Group Information Privileges screen

 

To save your changes click Save button then click the Done button.
