Approving and Transmitting a Transfer

Once a transfer has been entered, it may require one or more approvals by one or more authorized users before it can be transmitted to the Bank. The level of approval will depend on the approval requirements your company provided for  ScotiaConnect Online Account Transfers.

To approve and transmit an Account Transfer:

1.       From the Payments menu, select Account Transfers then select Same Currency Transfers or FX Transfers to access either the Same Currency or the FX, Transfer screens.

Check the status of the Pending Transfers on the lower half of the Account Transfers screen.

2.       If the status of a transfer is Pending, an authorized user with approval authority must first approve the transfer by clicking the [approve] action under the Action column.

You will be prompted with a confirmation dialogue saying “Are you sure you want to approve this transfer?”

3.       Click OK

Once you click OK the status of the transfer will change from Pending to Ready or Future Dated status

4.       To Transmit all your pending transfers to the bank, click the Submit All  button

Once the transfer has been transmitted, you will receive a confirmation message. The transfer status will change from Ready to Accepted or Future Dated.

Note: Any future dated transfers will remain in Future Dated status until they are automatically executed by ScotiaConnect Online on the date of the future dated transfer. If your future dated transaction fails, you will be notified in the Message Centre and you will be able to click on the message to view the transfer failure details from the Account Transfer History screen.
