About alerts

Alerts are notifications delivered to your alerts inbox that are related to your business’ activities on ScotiaConnect. You’ll receive standard alerts from ScotiaConnect regarding certain common transactions. You can also set up your own custom alerts, which you can modify or delete as needed.

How to access your alerts inbox

You can access your inbox from the Alerts link at the top of every ScotiaConnect screen. When your inbox contains unread alerts, you will see a red indicator dot here, along with an approximate count of how many unread alerts you have.

Your ScotiaConnect homepage also features a Recent Alerts module for the newest alerts you have received. You can click on each alert to view its details or click View All to go directly to the inbox

How to use your inbox to view alerts

In the alerts inbox, you can view all alerts or filter by type of alert (transactions, balance, services).

Your alerts are listed in a table with three columns – alert type, subject, and date and time.

To view the details of an alert, click its subject. The alert will open in a new window or direct you to the appropriate service page.

Standard and custom alerts

Depending on your enrolled services and entitlements, you might receive standard alerts related to approvals, rejections, failures, returned or incoming items, notifications of changes (NOCs). You can also set up custom alerts to track details of balance thresholds (e.g., above or below thresholds), transactions (e.g., incoming wires, cheques), or service notifications (e.g., payments pending approval).

View Standard and Custom Alerts or Create or Modify Custom Alerts for more details about managing and creating alerts.
